Ongoing Projects

Music is always a work in progress that sometimes has a mind of its own. There are
times when it seems nothing is happening and times when there are not enough days
in a week to fit in everything that presents itself.
The discography page lists what Greg T. has done up to now so this page is about
his current and future projects and other activities he enjoys. He is often sought
by gold & platinum artists to bring his thundering, percussive style of bass into
their bands, at the same time adding a presence with his stage persona, vocals and
style of dress.
In January and February of 2003, Greg T. joined up with longtime friend, Pat
Travers, for the kickoff of Pat's current US tour. On a recent trip to Las Vegas
to hear and visit with friends from Dokken, Whitesnake and Scorpions, Greg T. met
with Simon Wright and the discussion led to him bringing Simon on board to tour
with he and Pat for the Texas/Oklahoma tour dates in May. Simon spent five years
touring the world and recording two albums with AC/DC. He also toured and recorded
with UFO and currently plays with Ronnie James Dio.
Also in May, Greg T. will be starting a new project with guitarist Randall Hall
from Lynyrd Skynyrd, drummer Tom Curiale from Rick Derringer's band and guitarist
Charlie Hargrett from Blackfoot. Charlie was also a founding member of Blackfoot.
The first date is May 10th in Texarkana and more dates will be added when Greg
T.'s tour with Pat is completed. The lineup will feature songs from their
respective bands and a lot of new, original material in the "classic rock" style
they are known for. Guest appearances from friends and alumni will be common on
stages around the country. You never know who will show up on any given night.

While music is the focal point in Greg T's life, he enjoys a few hobbies when time
allows. Next to performing, his other passion is horses. He has just trained his
newest horse, a young Peruvian Paso who he has registered with the American Indian
Horse Registry. You can visit their site at
www.indianhorse.com
to learn more about the breeds they accept into their program. The term "breaking
a horse" is not in his vocabulary, he prefers to use a "join up" approach to
become one as horse and rider who bond and strive to become one in body and soul.
Primitive archery is something Greg T. has been doing for years. He made his first
bow some years ago out of stick and string and took his first whitetail with it on
his property in Fla. It is a flat bow made out of hickory and backed with sinew
from deer tendons. His arrows are made of cedar and river cane with turkey feather
fletching and either metal or stone arrowheads. He was taught as a young boy that
hunting served one purpose, and that was to put meat on the table and to always
gives thanks and respect for the life you take to nourish your own. Trophy hunting
was never an issue (more an insult, if anything) and learned early on that big
horns were only useful to stir the stew pot and make buttons.
Another pleasure in life is making traditional jewelry and crafts. From bows,
arrow and quiver sets to lances, shields, dream-catchers (the real ones), chokers
and decorating buffalo skulls, Greg T. takes great pride in his craftsmanship and
does not use anything synthetic when it comes to materials. There will be a page
added in the future to showcase items for sale for those interested.
Thank you for taking the time to read this page. Please feel free to take a moment
from time to time to check back and get an update on current and future projects.
